October is breast cancer awareness month. More people than ever are surviving the disease but there is much more to be done.
Which is why, throughout the month of October, Buttons & Dote will donate £1 from every sale to support breast cancer care and research. We’ll be raising money for three charities; Cancer Research UK, Pretty n Pink and the Marie Keating Foundation.
These organisations provide invaluable support to women across the UK and Ireland at times when they need it most. They are also working daily to fund research and protect future generations of women and girls from the disease.
Every time you make a purchase from our online store during October you’ll be making a little difference. No minimum order is necessary and there’s no limit on the number of times we’ll donate on your behalf. One order = £1, no matter what.
Thank you, for helping us, to support the work of these incredible charities. You can find out a little more about their work below.
Cancer Research UK is the world's leading independent charity dedicated to cancer research. The organisation carries out scientific research to help prevent, diagnose and treat cancer.
Cancer Research UK has discovered new ways to beat cancer that together have saved hundreds of thousands of lives across the world. Buttons & Dote is proud to support such pioneering and important research.
Pretty n Pink supports breast cancer patients and their families. The charity was founded in 2006 and is run by a small team of volunteers.
The organisation helps patients who may be facing financial hardship because of their diagnosis through its support fund, helping relive the burden during a stressful and emotional time. And we think that’s pretty amazing work.
The Marie Keating Foundation is a leading voice in cancer awareness and information for both men and women in Ireland. The Foundation’s mission is to make cancer less frightening by enlightening and its aim is to achieve a world free from the fear of cancer.
The Marie Keating Foundation provides information on all common cancers, including breast cancer, cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, lung cancer, skin cancer, prostate cancer, testicular cancer, bowel cancer and bladder cancer.
The Foundation receives very little government funding and all of services are provided free of charge. We’re so impressed with the work the foundation does and are happy to do a small bit to help.
